Orchard Park supervisor to address lecture series Sept. 27

Orchard Park Supervisor Patrick J. Keem will be the guest speaker Sept. 27 at the Friends of the Orchard Park Public Library’s Fourth Tuesday Lecture Series.

Keem will provide an update on the town’s Community Center, Green Lake dredging and dam restoration and the town budget. The $4.3 million project to dredge the 20-acre lake, make it deeper, improve water quality, create a better fish habitat and strengthen the dam area, started in October when the lake was drained.

The free presentation open to the public is scheduled at 7 p.m. at the Orchard Park Public Library, 4570 South Buffalo Street, Orchard Park, and will be followed by a question and answer period.

Next month’s installment of the lecture series will be held Oct. 25 with the Western New York Historical Railroad Society as presenter.
