City of Tonawanda police on Thursday morning arrested a Lewiston man who was already wanted on cocaine possession charges on new drug charges.
Police arrested Felix Habimfura, 37, at about 1:50 a.m. Thursday at a Main Street bar on a bench warrant, the department said.
As Habimfura was being taken into custody, police said, he tried to destroy two cigarette packs and three glassine envelopes containing cocaine.
Police charged him with destroying physical evidence, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. The bench warrant had been issued for a previous cocaine charge, police said.
