Enjoy the harvest at these 5 fall festivals

Quaker Arts Festival
Orchard Park Middle School, corner of Route 20A and South Lincoln Avenue ( 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 17-18.
This annual festival has been a sign of fall for more than 50 years. Deck out your house – or yourself – with your choice of items from more than 300 crafters. Grab some food and enjoy entertainment as you shop.

Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival and Highland Games
Krull Park, 6108 Lake Road, Newfane (778-5730, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 17-18.
Enjoy Celtic music, dancers, athletics, living historians, vendors, food, children’s activities and Niagara Celtic 5K Run. $25.

Harvest Festival and Craft Show
Along Center Street, Lewiston (754-9500, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 24-25.
More than 100 crafters from across the state will line Center Street selling their wares. Also, food, farmers, wineries and music.

Darien Lake Harvest Festival
9993 Allegheny Road, Darien Center (585-599-4641, Sept. 17-18, 24-25 at Darien Lake.
Enjoy the last two weekends of the season with fall-themed family activities, fall foliage, craft and food vendors, plus a kids maze and scavenger hunt. A Fun Mudder 5K race is Sept. 17.

Niagara Applefest
Kenan Center Grounds, 195 Beattie Ave., Lockport ( 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1-2.
Enjoy the harvest plus shop crafters, local vendors and lots of food. Entertainment includes Paws Over Niagara, a choreographed musical program with the World Canine Freestyle Organization. Adults $2, kids 12 and younger admitted free.
