Twelve facing gambling, other charges in backyard dice game

Twelve men playing dice in the backyard of a house in the 100 block of Theodore Street were arrested by Ferry-Fillmore District police about 9:30 p.m. Monday. Buffalo police said.

Police reported seizing more than $1,800. The following were charged with promoting gambling and trespassing: Andre Pellam, 40, Jaovan Curry, 27, Hadassah Quarles, 29, James Bostic, 28, Howard Pompey, 23, Demetrius Robinson, 22, Rahshib Callahan, 23, Howard Bishop III, 23, Johnnie Small, 55, and Dandre Steward, 20, all of Buffalo; and Terrance Chestnut, 36, of Cheektowaga, and Rickie Robinson, 27 of Amherst.
