The Erie County Health Department is three offering free rabies vaccination clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets this month, with the first one starting Wednesday.

Vaccinations are good for one to three years, depending on whether your pet has been previously vaccinated. The clinics will be held on the following dates and locations, with all clinics running from 4 to 7 p.m.:

• Wednesday: Erie Community College North Campus, Noonan Center maintenance garage, 6205 Main St., Amherst.

• Sept. 20: Springville Fire Department, 405 W. Main St.

• Sept. 28: West Seneca Highway Garage, 39 South Ave.

Pets should be leashed or in a carrier. If possible, bring a copy of the pet’s vaccination record.
