Kleinhans Music Hall has undergone many improvements over the years while still maintaining its original character envisioned by Finnish architects Eliel and Eero Saarinen. The music hall was envisioned Edward and Mary Seaton Kleinhans whose fortune came from the Kleinhans Music Hall. When they died within three months of each other in 1934, the building was completed with funds from the Works Progress Administration. Kleinhans Music Hall officially opened in 1940.
