Top performers

• Ryan Mansell completed 5 of 6 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns as Lancaster set a school record for points in a 56-14 rout of Jamestown. Leugim Castillo caught two passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

• Todd Thompson rushed 35 times for 253 yards and four touchdowns, returned a kickoff for a score and also had three two-point conversions – accounting for 36 points – during Pioneer’s wild 50-43 triumph over East Aurora. In the same game, EA’s Jacey Jakubczak returned three kicks for touchdowns.

• Dillon Janca passed for 266 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another score to lead Orchard Park past Hutch-Tech, 38-6.

• Jake Beaver completed 14 passes for 208 yards, with 20 of those coming on a touchdown pass in overtime to Dylan Williams during Randolph’s 19-13 win at Portville.

• TJ Allen rushed for 242 yards to lead Williamsville East past Lewiston-Porter, 40-22.

• Rashad Law rushed 10 times for 180 yards, while teammate Dylan Casey had 100 on nine carries as Maryvale churned out 415 yards on 44 rushes during a 34-7 win at Depew.

• Joe Dotterweich had a workhorse 175 yards on 30 carries and scored during North Tonawanda’s 22-6 win over Williamsville South.

• Aaron Wahler of Cleveland Hill ran for 118 yards on 10 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 48-0 win over Wilson.

• Dominic Prince of Burgard ran for four straight TDs in a 30-6 win over Newfane.

• James Bailey of JFK was on target in his passing, going 10 for 13 for 127 yards. He also ran for a touchdown in leading the Bears to a 36-6 win over Akron.

Week Three

• Canisius, the top-ranked large school going into this weekend, has a home game on Saturday. The Crusaders will play a top Rochester-area foe in Aquinas. Cheektowaga, the No. 1 small school, hosts Newfane.

• Lancaster has a tough act to follow after setting a school scoring record in Friday’s win over Jamestown. The Legends play at Frontier on Friday night.

• South Park rebounded after a one-sided loss in the opener to beat Hamburg in Week Two. What will Week Three bring? We’ll see when the Sparks play at West Seneca West on Friday night.
