Six walks to end Alzheimer's scheduled across the region in coming weekends

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s will return to Buffalo next weekend as part of a worldwide series of walks that includes six Western New York walks, starting this weekend.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., a ceremony at 10 a.m. and walks begin at 10:15 on the following dates in each of the following communities:

Olean: Saturday, Good Times of Olean, 800R E. State St.

Buffalo: Next Saturday, Delaware Park, behind the Buffalo Zoo. Registrants also can enjoy free admission to the zoo.

Batavia: Sept. 24, City/County Nursing Home, 278 Bank St.

Dunkirk: Oct. 1, Point Gratiot Park, Point Drive and Route 5.

Lewiston: Oct. 15, Artpark, 450 S. 4th St.

Warsaw: Oct. 22, Village Park, Liberty Street.
