Representatives need to be more accessible
I have been trying for two years, by letters and visits to his office, to see Rep. Brian Higgins. I have several constructive ideas, including a tunnel to replace the Skyway bridge. The bridge was a mistake when built, considering our bad winter conditions.
I finally met Higgins on Sept. 3 at a public meeting in Black Rock. Sadly, as I introduced myself to him, I was ushered away. At the end of the meeting, as the speakers were to hear questions, he rushed out the door. Is this the way a congressman should interface with his citizens?
