Grand Prize winner in the Lake Ontario Counties Trout and Salmon Derby - Drew Kersic of Philadephia, Pa. with a 34-pound, 9-oz. king salmon to win the $25,000 prize out of Oswego.
Anthony T. Navarroli, III,12, of Niagara Falls, landed this 10-pound, 28-inch channel catfish at a Town of Niagara pond. He was fishing with his Grandpa Anthony, Sr,. and his sisters Isabella, 11, (right) and Christiana, 8. This fish, caught on the last official day of summer 2016 vacation, gave Anthony quite a fight. Papa Tony had to assist in trying to get a quick picture of the fish before releasing him back into the pond.
Zach and Jeff Sortisio of Hamburg with two nice smallmouth bass (Jeff's fish was 19.5 inches). Father and son enjoyed a day on the water with Capt. Tim Braun from Braun Outdoor Charters before Zach headed back to college.
John Jankowski of Sloan won the Rainbow/Steelhead Division of the LOC with a 15-pound, 15-ounce Olcott fish caught the second-last day of the derby.
John Van Hoff of North Tonawanda caught this 12-pound walleye over the holiday weekend on the Niagara Bar with a worm harness.
Earl "Skip" Foster of Wilson reeled in the first place Brown Trout out of Wilson, a 17-pound, 4-ounce brown. He was fishing with his son, Scott, who caught a 15-pound, 13-ounce brown the same day to place third.
