Erie County Board of Elections services relocated

Anyone needing an absentee ballot or other assistance from the Erie County Board of Elections as Primary Day approaches this Tuesday will have to visit the second floor of the county’s Rath Building on Franklin Street instead of the board’s downtown Eagle Street headquarters.

The Aug. 31 fire at the Erie County Board of Elections has temporarily forced the board’s relocation of public services to the county’s Rath Building, 95 Franklin Street, room 230.

Clean-up work at the Board of Elections headquarters is expected to continue for another week as county officials work to nail down a final damage estimate, said county spokesman Peter Anderson.
