Arson ruled in Lockport fire

LOCKPORT – Arson had suspected as the cause of a massive fire that burned for three days and destroyed a tire recycling plant and took the life of a Lockport teen Aug. 10. Now it is official.

Mayor Anne McCaffrey confirmed the decision ruling at a Common Council meeting.

Phillips and other juveniles are suspects in the arson. Because of the ages of the suspects the case, has been turned over to Niagara County Probation for review.
