A man was shot in the leg early Wednesday in a Town of Tonawanda trailer park where a gunshot was fired Sunday afternoon.
The man was shot at about 1 a.m. in the Niagara Mobile Park on Ritchie Avenue, off Kenmore Avenue near Grand Island Boulevard, town police said.
He was taken to Erie County Medical Center with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. Police said the man appeared to be wounded by buck shot from a shotgun.
Police declined to release further details as “the investigation is very active.”
Police said the shooting was believed to be unrelated to the incident Sunday in which a car window was shot out with a shotgun during a dispute between two families. A woman faces several charges, including reckless endangerment and weapons possession.
