Town of Tonawanda police lodged several charges against a woman who they say fired a gun Sunday afternoon in a mobile home park during a dispute between members of two families.
Angela Baughman, 36, of Ritchie Avenue, faces first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, prohibited use of a weapon and third-degree criminal mischief charges, police said.
The incident happened at about 4 p.m. in the Niagara Mobile Park on Ritchie Avenue, off Kenmore Avenue near Grand Island Boulevard. No one was injured but the shot from a 12-gauge shotgun smashed through the back window of a parked minivan.
Police cordoned off the area for several hours and told residents to stay inside their homes. SWAT team officers, regular police and paramedics responded in force to the Niagara Mobile Park.
Police arrested Baughman Sunday night, and she was later arraigned in Tonawanda Town Court. She was sent to the Erie County Holding Center on $10,000 bail and is due back in court Thursday.
