Nineteen area health care professionals of Polish descent will be honored by the General Pulaski Association at a dinner Sept. 11.
Those being feted are Dr. Kenneth D. Anthone, ophthalmologist at Atwal Eye Care; Edward Bednarczyk, pharmacist, associate professor at University at Buffalo; Jacob Cukierski, resident at Sisters of Charity Hospital; Andrea L. Frys, Buffalo Hearing and Speech; Dr. Edmond J. Gicewicz, associate professor, University at Buffalo; Theresa A. Kolodziej, director of clinical education, physical therapy at Daemen College; Dr. Joseph M. Kowalski, director of spine center at ECMC; Nicole Maciejewski, certified physician’s assistant; Frederick F. Pordum, director of business development and marketing at Visiting Nursing Association; Susan Marie Domagalski Reddington, registered nurse at Mercy Hospital; Dr. Scott Rudzinski of Windsong Radiology Group; Dr. Claudia Fosket-Smolinski at Southtowns Radiology; Dr. Robert J. Smolinski, sports medicine and orthopaedics at University at Buffalo; Julia Szprygada, education director at Alzheimer’s Association; Dr. Julie A. Szumigala; Mary M. Tisby, registered nurse at Buffalo General Medical Center; Dr. Tadeusz Rutkowski, Maple Gate Anesthesiologists; Dr. John M. Rutkowski, Western New York Urology; and Dr. Jacob Dominik, of Rochester.
An appreciation award will be presented to Carolyn and John Yurtchuk with Calspan Corp. and Matrix Development Corp. for support for the 2016 Pulaski Day Parade.
The dinner at 7 p.m. will be at the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga. The cost is $35 per person, $75 per couple and $350 per table of 10.
