Ending UB student buses would end many problems
The News highlights improved student behavior, minor arrests and an increased police presence in the University Heights neighborhood. Nonetheless, University at Buffalo students by the hundreds continue to pour into the neighborhood and engage in illegal activities.
This continues to puzzle and infuriate law-abiding citizens.
My question is a simple one. Why on earth are bus runs necessary? What’s the purpose of the shuttles? They have no redeeming educational or societal function. And, yet, they continue; some buses separated by only minutes.
After all this time, why can’t UB simply end them? The enormous amount of time, money and manpower could surely be better directed elsewhere.
