With classes in session at NU, DeVeaux party complaints resume

NIAGARA FALLS – With classes back in session, city police are dealing with complaints of noisy, rowdy college students in the city’s DeVeaux neighborhood.

Twice on Friday night, police were called to loud parties – first in the 1300 block of Garrett Avenue and then in the 2800 block of McKoon Avenue. Niagara University students rent apartments in the neighborhood during the school year.

Police said about 20 people were dispersed from the Garrett Avenue location, and an estimated 100 people had left the McKoon site by the time police arrived shortly before midnight. Complaints from residents were directed to Niagara University officials.
