There seems to be no end to the torment the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRaiders inflict on the Buffalo Bisons.
Chris Parmelee led off the bottom of the ninth with a home run off Chris Smith to give the RailRiders a 2-1 victory over the Herd at PNC Field.
Buffalo had taken a 1-0 lead in the sixth when Jesus Montero singled to score Quintin Berry. However, Melky Mesa was out at home on the same hit.
Scranton tied it in the bottom of the sixth when Pete Kozma scored on a sacrifice fly.
Transactions: The Blue Jayes recalled right-hand pitchers Ryan Tepera and Danny Barnes and outfielders Dalton Pompey and Darrell Ceciliani and purchased the contract of left-hand pitcher Matt Dermody. They designated Bisons infielder Matt Dominguez for assignment. Joining Buffalo from Double-A New Hampshire are right-hand pitchers John Stilson and Wil Browning. The Bisons activated pitcher Bobby Korecky, infielder David Adams and outfielder Mesa from the DL.
Too tough: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre has won 14 of the last 15 games against the Bisons.
Next up: The Bisons and RailRiders will play a single game Saturday (Radio 1520, 7:05 p.m.) Casey Lawrence (5-5, 3.71) starts for Buffalo against Brady Lail (6-6, 5.27).
