Niagara Falls boy, 5, hurt when bicycle hits car

NIAGARA FALLS – A 5-year-old Niagara Falls boy was was injured Thursday evening when he rode his bicycle into the front bumper of a car on Livingston Avenue, according to Niagara Falls police.

The boy rode out of an alleyway at about 6:40 p.m. and collided with the car, then rolled onto its hood, striking his head on the windshield, police said.

After the boy complained of pain in his head, arms and legs, he was taken by ambulance to taken to Women & Children’s Hospital in Buffalo for a medical evaluation.

The Police Department’s Crash Management Team is continuing an investigation of the incident. No charges have been lodged against the driver, police said.
