Garden Notes: News of area clubs and events

As part of their Garden Talk series, the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County Master Gardeners will offer suggestions on using homegrown herbs in late summer from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at the CCE office, 420 E. Main St., Batavia. Free and open to the public. Bring a lunch.


Williamsville Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday for a picnic and pool party at the home of Charlene Kern, 5354 Thompson Road, Clarence. Members will exchange perennials and discuss programs for next year.


South Town Gardeners will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at the Burchfield Nature and Art Center, 2001 Union Road, West Seneca. Members will put the finishing touches on the flower show to be held Sept. 17-18. Guests and new members welcome. Call 668-0209.
