Buffalo woman arrested on drugs and false ID charges

Amber Young, 25, of Broadway was arrested on drug and false identity charges early Thursday morning, according to Buffalo police.

Young was initially confronted at Broadway and Desheler Street about 12:50 a.m. Thursday. When police officers found she had given them a false name, she ran off but captured on nearby Brownell Street.

After she was arrested, officers reported finding in her purse illegal narcotics.

She was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and false personation. She remained in the Erie County Holding Center Thursday night.
