Creek Party with BN Riverkeeper

Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper will be hosting a waterfront party at Marcy Casino, Delaware Park tonight (Sept. 1) from 6-9 pm to raise funds for Scajaquada Creek reparations. Youth Duck Hunt Oct. 1-2 –

The Western Zone Waterfowl Youth Hunt is set for Oct. 1-2, a designated weekend that allows licensed junior hunters ages 12 to 15 years of age to hunt with a mentor. The Lake Plains Waterfowl Association, in partnership with the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, will be hosting its 43rd annual Young Waterfowlers Program – highlighted by a youth hunt on Oct. 1. To preregister, youngsters must complete a Waterfowl Application Form that can be found on the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge website at; request one at; call at 585-948-5445; or stop at the headquarters located at 1101 Casey Road off Route 77 in Basom/Alabama. The application must be received by Sept. 8 at 4 pm. In addition to the hunt, there is an orientation day that includes a sanctioned waterfowl identification class in the morning. Women Conquering Outdoor Adventures Sept. 10

Calling all ladies: The seventh annual Women Conquering Outdoor Adventures is set for Sept. 10 at the North Forest Rod and Gun Club in Lockport. This popular women’s event offers up a full day of outdoor activities – giving them the opportunity to pick and choose what they want to learn about in the great outdoors. Registration starts at 8:30 am and the day wraps up around 6 pm after four different sessions are selected, a tasty lunch and some door prizes.
