The Martin House Restoration Corp. announced the election of Frank C. Cravotta Jr., executive vice president of Creative Services for Pegula Sports and Entertainment, and Rev. James J. Maher, C.M., D.Min., president of Niagara University, to the Martin House Board of Directors.


UBMD Pediatrics and the University at Buffalo named Dennis Z. Kuo, MD, MHS, as chief of the division of general pediatrics. He was appointed the position of associate professor of pediatrics as a full-time faculty member at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.


Phillip F. Gallson CPA, of Campagna & Gallson CPA, has been elected president of the Society of Financial Service Professionals Buffalo Chapter for the term 2016-17.

The former Kelkenberg Farm of Akron, located at 12607 Stage Road, is now Akron Acres. Along with the name change, construction has begun on a new wedding barn, which will be known as the Gathering Barn.


Olean Business Development recently signed an agreement to become the 10th member of the Western New York Incubator Network. The network is a collaborative effort of incubators and entrepreneurial service providers from Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties, working together to turn the region into a hotbed of entrepreneurial activity.


The Food Bank of WNY was the designated recipient of a $20,000 grant from the Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation, which will be used to support the Food Bank’s new School Pantry Program. The Food Bank is currently piloting the program in two Buffalo schools: Western New York Maritime Charter School and Charter School for Applied Technologies. Pantries are located on the grounds of the schools to provide an easily accessible source of food assistance to low-income students and their families.
