New York City man, 22, arrested at Peace Bridge

A New York City man was arrested on a bus at the Peace Bridge at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday for the alleged possession of heroin, according to the Buffalo police.

Jaspreet Singh, 22, was taken off the bus coming to the U.S. from Canada by U.S. Customs officers after he was found to have “several bundles of heroin” in his pants pocket, according to Buffalo police.

Singh also had a quantity of prescribed methadone, a crack pipe, $2,000 in U.S. currency and $160 in Canadian currency, according to the Buffalo police.

Buffalo Police charged him with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
