Megan M. Dearing and John B. Ortolani were married at 2 p.m. on June 25 in Christ the King Chapel at Canisius College in Buffalo. Guests gathered for a reception at The Twentieth Century Club in Buffalo. The Rev. Joseph S. Rogliano of Buffalo heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Thomas J. and Karen K. Dearing of Buffalo. The bridegroom’s parents are David E. and Donna R. Ortolani of Williamsville. The bride, a graduate of Holy Angels Academy, earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Fordham University. She is the former marketing manager at The Buffalo News. The groom, a graduate of St. Joseph Collegiate Institute, earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and premedicine degree from College of the Holy Cross and also earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from University at Buffalo School of Medicine. The groom, who completed his residency in general surgery at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Va., is a colon and rectal surgery fellow at LSU Health. After a trip to Bermuda, the couple will make their home in Shreveport, La.
