Beans on the road in Sinclairville make mess

SINCLAIRVILLE – A tractor-trailer carrying hundreds of pounds of green beans – yes, beans – overturned on Moon Road in the Chautauqua County town of Sinclairville at about 3 p.m. Friday, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The situation led to the closing of Moon Road, between Route 60 and Stockton Cassadaga Road, well into the evening, as the damaged truck and its cargo were moved and that portion of the roadway was cleaned up, the sheriff’s office reported.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and State Police were investigating the cause of the accident, which caused no injuries.
