Jewelry, computer stolen in office break-in

NIAGARA FALLS – A gold and diamond ring, valued at $6,000, was stolen in a burglary of a used car lot office in the 2100 block of Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls Police said.

The victim told police that sometime between 4 p.m. Monday and 8:40 a.m. Tuesday someone forced their way into the office building by breaking a glass entry door. The suspect opened multiple drawers and took the gold ring, which had one large diamond and several smaller diamonds on each side of the band.

Also stolen were a laptop computer and an unknown amount of business checks, according to a police report.

The total loss and damage were estimated at $7,800.
