Vacant former rectory on Michigan damaged again by fire

A vacant former rectory on Michigan Avenue sustained minor damage in a fire early Tuesday.

The blaze at 653 Michigan Ave., between Genesee and Sycamore streets, was reported at 3 a.m., according to the Buffalo Fire Department alarm office.

The building, which was the scene of a previous fire, sustained $5,000 in damage, the alarm office said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
