Road closures on Route 400 planned for this weekend

Road closures on NY Route 400 have been scheduled for this weekend, the state Department of Transportation announced Monday. The closures will allow for construction involved with replacing the expressway bridge over Harlem Road in West Seneca

At about 6 a.m. Saturday, the northbound side of Route 400 between NY Route 16 (Seneca Street), and Interstate 90, will be closed to all traffic. Traffic to I-90 will be directed to exit at NY Route 277 (Union Road) and will then be directed to follow two separate detours: for I-90 East, take Union Road to William Street and for I-90 West, take Union Road to Seneca Street to Ridge Road. Northbound 400 is expected to reopen by 4 a.m. Sunday by 4 a.m.

Then at 6 a.m. Sunday, the southbound side of Route 400 will be closed to all traffic between I-90 and the Seneca Street exit (NY Route 16). Traffic from the Thruway to Route 400 will be directed to follow two separate detours: for I-90 East, traffic will be directed to exit at Ridge Road (Exit 55) and proceed to Union Road (277) to access Route 400 and I-90 westbound traffic will be directed to exit at William Street (Exit 52A) and proceed to Union Road to access Route 400.
