LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls woman has been indicted on a charge of gashing another woman’s face June 30 during an argument over spilled pop at the Kmart on Military Road in the Town of Niagara.
Alexandria Harris, 29, of Packard Court, pleaded not guilty in Niagara County Court Monday to two counts of first-degree assault.
Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said Harris allegedly used a knife to slash the victim from beside her ear to her chin. She said Harris let police search her purse, where they found the knife.
Hoffmann said a child with the victim spilled some pop on the floor at the Kmart, and Harris, a fellow customer, took offense to that, leading to the alleged knifing.
Harris was released from custody after posting $20,000 bail.
