Lockport woman, 52, arrested following stabbing

LOCKPORT – A Lockport woman was arrested on felony assault and weapons charges after allegedly stabbing two persons – one multiple times – during a fight in front of 198 Pine St. early Monday evening, according to Lockport police.

Laurie Morley, 52, was charged with second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to Lockport police.

Morley was arrested shortly after police were called to the site on Pine near High Street at about 5 p.m., Lockport police said.

Morley was being held pending a Lockport City Court arraignment on Tuesday morning, according to Lockport police.

Police said one of the injured, a male, was stabbed multiple times and was taken to Erie County Medical Center.

The other injured person was taken to Lockport Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to Lockport police.

The stabbings are expected to remain under investigation Tuesday, police said.
