A Clarence man was charged Sunday with stealing metal supplies from an Erie County Highway Department barn in the Town of Tonawanda, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.
A sheriff’s deputy checking the premises of the barn on Military Road at about 3:15 a.m. found a truck near a metal-piping storage area filled with metal supplies in its bed.
The deputy charged Ryan Hudson, 28, with petit larceny and criminal trespass. Hudson had about $200 worth of supplies in the truck, the sheriff’s office said.
The deputy also discovered Hudson had a suspended driver’s license for an alcohol-related incident. That drew an additional charge of aggravated unlicensed operation.
Hudson was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $500 bail.
