Jamestown police seize more than $2 million in drugs

Jamestown police on Thursday seized a large cache of illegal narcotics and nearly $140,000 in cash after executing a warrant on a Main Street residence, according to the Jamestown police.

Investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force recovered from the residence nine kilos of cocaine, with a street value of over $2 million, as well as 3 1/2 kilos of methamphetamine, with a street value of $330,000, and 2 1/2 kilos of marijuana, with a street value of $35,000, according to the Jamestown police.

A combined total of 15 kilos of drugs were seized, with a total estimated street value of close to $2.4 million, according to a release from the Jamestown police department.

Juan Pacheco Jr. of Jamestown was arrested at the scene and taken into custody, Jamestown police said.

Pacheco faces first- and second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance charges, as well as one charge of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, according to the Jamestown police.

He was arraigned and held without bail in the Chautauqua County Jail.
