Krull Park Beach closed again because of bacteria in water

OLCOTT – The Niagara County Health Department closed Krull Park Beach on Lake Ontario to swimmers Thursday because a water quality test showed an elevated bacteria count.

The beach will remain closed until the daily water sample shows safe levels of bacteria, the department said.

This is the third closure of the frequently closed beach this season, all because of high levels of bacteria. Previous closures came June 22 and July 27, and each lasted one day.
