Chuck Jagodzinski, Kristina Szczerbinski, and Denice Chojecki saw their bowling seasons get off to a excellent start Thursday when they won titles in the Greater Buffalo USBC Association Annual Kickoff Tournament at Kenmore Lanes.
Top-seeded Jagodzinski won the scratch men’s division title with a perfect 300 game. He defeated Geno Walk, who rolled a 257. In the scratch women’s division, Szczerbinski, the second seed, defeated Marion Singleton, 255-216, in the championship match. In the handicap division, Chojecki knocked off Glenn Worthy Jr., 206-196.
The invitational tournament began with a two-game qualifying segment, in which the top qualifiers moved on to head-to-head competition.
