Letter: Local weather forecasters should throw in the towel

Local weather forecasters should throw in the towel

I really get a kick out of the weather forecasters on our local TV stations. Even with all the latest technology available to them, they still can’t predict the weather with any accuracy. Their five-day and seven-day predictions are a joke since they can’t even let us know what tomorrow might bring.

The rain they have said was coming recently either dissipated over Lake Erie, went somewhere else because the winds changed, never reached the ground, etc. Please don’t say the “R” word unless precipitation is a very real possibly. Everyone should pay attention to such words as scattered, occasional, possibility and intermittent. To me, they mean it might rain somewhere but they really aren’t sure where.
