Police arrest three in pair of vehicle thefts

NIAGARA FALLS – Two men are accused of stealing a car early Sunday from the Youngstown area and State Police also arrested another man in an unrelated vehicle theft.

In the first case, the two suspects were charged following a traffic stop about 1:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Niagara Avenue. James C. Wilson, 46, of Buffalo Avenue, and Richard Handley II, 30, of 20th Street, are charged each with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Wilson also was booked on an outstanding arrest warrant in a Town of Lewiston theft.

Handley also was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

In othe other case, police arrested Thomas J. Pryor, Jr., 23, of Division Avenue and charged him with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Further details in that arrest were unavailable.
