A candlelight vigil will be held in Buffalo on Aug. 20 to remember those who have succumbed to opioid addiction.
The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Canalside’s Lloyd Street Bridge, according to organizers.
The event is sponsored by the Erie County Opiate Epidemic Task Force Family and Consumer Support and Advocacy group.
Members of the organization have been affected by the loss of loved ones, or are dealing with the addiction of a loved one.
Their goal is to save lives while erasing the stigma of addiction, as well as educate the community.
They will stand alongside community members in a ceremony to honor and remember their loved ones. All are welcome.
