Accomplice sought in theft of beer linked to underage drinking party

WARSAW – The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an accomplice in the last Saturday’s theft from a Tops Market of three 30-packs of beer that ended up at an underage drinking party.

Kolton F. Cotter, 21, of Albion, was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and petit larceny and faces proceedings in Warsaw Town Court. Cotter and the accomplice fled with the beer as a store clerk kept yelling at them to stop, according to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office. Later that day, Cotter was arrested by Perry Police at the underage drinking party.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (585) 786-2255.
