An Amherst woman was allegedly drunk while driving the wrong way on a divided highway when her vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided head-on early Saturday on the Youngmann Highway, Amherst police reported.
Gabrielle Rainville, 20, was charged with DWI and traffic offenses, police said. Her brown Hyundai Sonata was heading eastbound on the westbound Youngmann about 4:07 a.m. when it collided with the tractor trailer, police said.
Rainville suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
