This Week in Pictures: July 30-Aug. 5

Each week the Buffalo News photographers bring you a visual recap of the week through pictures, from news to sports.

We were there when North Tonawanda firefighter Kenneth Walker reacted to the fire at his home. We photographed Coldplay at First Niagara Center, and we covered the Bills training camp. Derek Gee found young entrepreneurs selling lemonade to raise money for a friend with cancer, and Sharon Cantillon shared the stories of finicky eaters. Mark Mulville brought you to the rodeo in Gerry and for a ride on the Chautauqua Belle.

From the three new lion cubs at the Buffalo Zoo to an inside look at a master gardener's shed, we hope you enjoy a second look at our favorite photographs from the week.

Jim Charlier's garden was on the annual Garden Walk Buffalo and other garden tours. He recently built an amazing shed. The interior is nearly as fun to look at as the exterior. Charlier says the most he spent on the interior was $20 worth of nails. Everything else was creatively recycled from stuff he had. The walls are sided with picket fencing he had and painted or washed with paints he had in his basement. Photo taken, Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016. (Sharon Cantillon/Buffalo News)
