Paula S. Noe, of Clarence, died July 31 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. She was 73.
A graduate of Bishop O’Hern High School, the former Paula Schenk continued her education at Sisters of Charity Hospital School of Nursing and Canisius College.
She worked as a nurse at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the University Hospital of Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Mrs. Noe was active in several clubs and organizations including the Twentieth Century Club, Clarence Contemporary Club, UB Women’s Association, Federation of Women’s Club, Junior Board of Buffalo General Hospital, the League of Women Voters and the Bishops Council of the Laity.
She also volunteered for Buffalo Hospice and as a courtappointed special advocate for Erie County. She enjoyed reading, walking, gardening, cooking and travel.
Mrs. Noe is survived by her husband, Dr. Michael F. Noe; two sons, Mark and Daniel; two daughters, Karen Bonczek and Megan Larson; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard and Thomas Schenk.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville.
