Forget about tax credits, raze One Seneca Tower
A recent News article reported that historic tax credits may be available to redevelop One Seneca Tower. Of course, public assistance could go beyond that to include subsidies by way of discounted property taxes, sales taxes, etc.
I submit a much better use of our money is to raze a visually offensive impediment to waterfront and downtown improvement. Indeed, the building’s absence more perfectly fulfills the spirit of historic tax credits than any redevelopment scheme preserving the structure.
