Battistoni Diesel rebounds

Buffalo’s Battistoni Diesel, the defending champions of the National Amateur Baseball Federation, were able to stay alive in the NABF Major Division World Series thanks to a complete game by pitcher Zach Jordan. Battistoni downed Brooklyn, 4-3, in Battle Creek, Mich.

Randy Moley had three hits, while Neal Demartin knocked home the winning run on an RBI double to help the Diesel bounce back from losing the opening game of the tournament to HBA/Behnke.

Battistoni will play the Lake Erie Crushers Friday at noon, with the winner advancing to a single-elimination championship round.
