Two arrested in gunfire incident on Kenefick

Two Buffalo men were arrested about 9 p.m. Monday in a home in the first block of Kenefick Avenue Monday night after police responding to a shots-fired call.

James Thompson and Bryan Slattery, both 24, were charged each with second-degree criminal possession of a loaded weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a defaced weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment, police said Wednesday. The gun and spent bullet casings were recovered in both the kitchen and in the back of a staircase in that house. Thompson and Slattery remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center Wednesday night.
