Bandits sign pair of players

The Buffalo Bandits have announced the signing of two players - Tim Edwards and Mark Cockerton - to one-year contracts.

Edwards was taken in the fourth round of the 2015 NLL Entry Draft by the Bandits. He spent most of the season on the practice squad, and he perhaps was one of the biggest surprises of the training camp. Edwards’ athletic ability impressed the coaching staff, and the team believes the former Canisius College standout has a chance to contribute to the team in the near future.

Cockerton is an interesting signing since he was taken in the first round (sixth overall) by the New England Black Wolves in the 2014 Entry Draft. He has 29 points in 14 career games, scoring one goal in one game with the Rochester Knighthawks last season.
