‘Pathways to Prosperity’ session set for Wednesday in Merriweather Library.

People who want to improve their careers through further education are invited to “Pathway to Prosperity,” an informational session from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Frank E. Merriweather Jr. Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave. at East Utica Street.

Sponsored by Erie Community College, County Legislator Betty Jean Grant and the group We Are Women Warriors, it will feature local leaders and ECC officials outlining one- and two-year programs that lead to professions and answering questions about financial aid, flexible scheduling and transportation to all three ECC campuses.

In addition to Grant, guest speakers include ECC President Jack Quinn, attorney John Elmore and City Court Judge Craig D. Hannah. Instant admissions will be available to non-competitive academic programs. Those interested should bring unofficial high school transcripts of their original GED/high school equivalency, with test scores.
