Ex-clerk spared prison for theft from Lancaster School District

A former Lancaster School District accounts clerk was spared prison Monday after fully repaying the $3,461.71 she stole from the district.

Rhonda Greco, 47, pleaded guilty May 25 to a single count of third-degree grand larceny and 10 counts of falsifying business records for the 10 district checks she wrote to pay her utility and cellphone bills during the past two years. Greco, who resigned from her post after being confronted by school district officials late last year, was sentenced to five years of probation by State Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang, who also ordered her to perforn 100 hours of community service.
