NIAGARA FALLS – If you are great at jousting, blow-up obstacle courses or “hooley ball,” you will want to head over to the #LiveNF Games, a unique and free competition which starts Wednesday and continues through Aug. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Old Falls Street.
All skill levels are invited to participate, but the four-week competition, sponsored by Old Falls Street USA and #LiveNF, will also have some fun for the less competitive who just want to watch, with live music and food concessions featuring Lloyd’s Taco Truck.
In addition to the physical challenges, each week will feature mental activities, such as trivia contests and lip sync battles. Partial proceeds from the event will benefit local charities, including the Niagara Police Athletic League, Niagara Beautification Commission, Niagara Falls Fire Fighters Toy Fund and Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club.
“We have planned the #LiveNF Games to be fun for everyone,” said Katie Kielaszek, Old Falls Street’s director of activities, in an announcement of the event. “We encourage guests of all ages to join us, meet new people, have a few laughs and celebrate a positive living environment in our city.”
Aug. 3 – music by Keith Shuskie, and competition on a 55-foot inflatable obstacle course.
Aug. 10 – music with D.J. P-Nasty, and a Hooley Ball (an inflatable ball throwing game) competition.
Aug. 17 – music by Nineteen Sixty, and inflatable jousting.
Aug. 24 – music by Savannah & The Kings, and an inflatable “toxic meltdown” competition, which challenges your stamina as you must jump over inflatable spinning booms trying to knock you off your perch.
