An East Ferry Street man was arrested and two accomplices are being sought in connection with an armed robbery late Tuesday night at the border between Buffalo and Cheektowaga, police in the two municipalities said.
Bobby Reid, 20, and the two others who managed to outrun police, allegedly ordered a man to give them his backpack during an encounter at Bame Avenue and Treehaven Road. The victim told police the three stuck a silver handgun into his face, took his backpack and told him to run home. Cheektowaga Police spotted the incident and chased the three down Bame, arresting Reid and recovering the victim’s backpack. The other two escaped through backyards.
Buffalo police charged Reid with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
